Interpol’s FAST Sirens Team arrested Tunisian national Selmi Faiez, 38, in Rennes, France, this morning. Faiez had been wanted since December 2024 on charges of domestic violence against his ex-girlfriend, Tania Bellinetti. Bellinetti, 47, died after falling from the third-floor balcony of her home on Via Tolstoj in Bologna on April 8. The Bologna Prosecutor’s Office opened an investigation into Bellinetti’s death, initially considering the hypothesis of instigation to suicide; Faiez is currently under investigation in that case. Faiez had already received a definitive conviction for previous domestic violence offenses against Bellinetti.
