Russian forces launched a drone attack late yesterday evening on the Putyvl community in Sumy Oblast, wounding 13 people, including a 5-year-old child.
Governor Oleg Hrygorov, cited by Ukrainska Pravda, reported the strike targeted civilian infrastructure. “At least four people, including a 5-year-old child, were injured earlier,” Hrygorov stated, adding that nine more people sustained injuries later, bringing the total to 13 wounded.
The governor confirmed the initial four victims received necessary medical treatment and did not require hospitalization. However, a fire broke out at the impact site. Separately, a 24-year-old man was reported to be in critical condition.
Russian troops also struck the territory of the Kovpakiv district within the Sumy community during the same evening.
